Wellness Classes: first time HERE? / faqs

What to Know Before You Come

Q: When should I arrive for class?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for your first class to check in, fill out a waiver, get oriented, and ask questions.

Q: What equipment is provided?
We provide yoga mats, blocks, straps, blankets, and spin bikes. You’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

  • Mats: Please wipe down yoga mats after class with the provided wipes.

  • Water: Available after class; bringing a reusable water bottle is encouraged.

  • Scent-sensitive space: Please avoid perfumes, colognes, and cigarette/tobacco smoke to keep classes accessible for everyone.

Check-in & Orientation

Q: How do I check in?

  • At the front desk, you'll print your first and last name clearly on the class attendance sheet.

  • You’ll check a box indicating how you’re paying (prepaid class pass, paid online, or paying that day).

  • On your first visit, if you didn't yet sign the waiver online (in MindBody), you'll sign a paper waiver.

  • If you need to purchase a class or pass, you can do so with the person at the front desk (payment options include cash, check, Venmo, or card).

  • For smaller classes, staff may not always be at the desk—pre-registering online makes check-in smoother.

Q: What should I do after checking in?

  • Head up to the second floor. In winter, remove outdoor shoes on the stairwell landing.

  • The second floor has bathrooms and two changing rooms.

  • Around the corner, there are cubbies for shoes and hooks for coats.

  • The Spin studio is off the shoe-cubby hall, there on the second floor.

  • If you're attending a yoga or Pilates class, grab a mat from the hallway and leave shoes in a cubby before making your way up to the third-floor yoga studio.

Q: Are my belongings secure during class?

  • During most wellness classes, the building is closed to the public. The front door is opened for your class’s check-in period, then locked by staff once class begins. After class, your instructor or staff will unlock the front door to let participants out, then relock the building.

  • Thursday evening's Ignite & Flow class is the one exception, as the first floor is open to the public while Green Mountain Ramen and The Gold Bar are open. We trust restaurant guests will remain on the first floor. While we can't guarantee the security of personal belongings, this shared arrangement has worked well, and we encourage students to leave valuables at home or keep them with you if you prefer.

Q: Where are the classes held?

  • Classes are in the second-floor Spin studio or third-floor yoga studio, so you’ll go up 1-2 sets of stairs: first to the second floor (bathrooms, changing rooms, cubbies, Spin studio), then up to the yoga studio.

Q: Do I need to pre-register for class?

  • Pre-registration is not required, but it is encouraged.

  • Signing up and paying online (via Mindbody) makes check-in quicker and smoother.

  • Some classes have limited capacity, so pre-registration helps secure your spot.

What is MindBody?

Q: What is MindBody?

MindBody is the software we use to track class attendance and passes/payments. Each attendee has a profile in the system, which allows:

  • Online booking and payment (so check-in is faster)
  • Tracking your class passes
  • Receiving updates about your classes

You don’t need a special app—you can create an account and register directly above on our wellness class page.

Q: Do I need a MindBody account to attend class?

  • No--You can drop in at the front desk and pay before class. We’ll type you in with your first and last name—that’s all you need to provide.

  • If you provide an email address, you can later create a MindBody account to view past visits, receive receipts, make purchases, and manage future bookings.

  • Visiting a friend from out of town and won’t be back? We can create a profile with just your first and last name so you can attend your class.

Class Passes & Pricing

Q: How much do classes cost?

  • Drop-in: $20 per class

  • 5-Class Pass: $18/class ($90)

  • 10-Class Pass: $16/class ($160)

Q: What payment methods are available?

  • Cash, check, Venmo, Card

Tip: Pre-registering online helps secure a spot in capped classes and speeds up check-in.

Class Capacity

Q: How many people are allowed in each class?

  • Yoga & Pilates: capped at 20 participants

  • Spin: capped at 10 participants (one per bike)

  • Pre-registering online ensures a spot, especially for spin class.

Spin Class Basics

Q: Do I need special shoes for Spin class?

  • No. Some bikes accommodate cycling shoes, but regular athletic shoes work fine.

  • Wear comfortable workout clothes, and bring clean athletic shoes during winter-boot months.

  • Instructors will help you get set up for your first ride.

Cancellations & Updates

Q: How do I know if a class is cancelled?

  • Planned cancellations (holidays, vacations) are shared in advance by instructors, on social media, and are visible in MindBody.

  • Short-term cancellations (illness, weather, unforeseen events) are updated in MindBody and on our socials.

  • If you have an email in MindBody and regularly attend a certain class, we’ll send a notification when possible.

Parking

Q: Where should I park?

  • We have a free private parking lot right next to the building (The Old Shriner's Hall). If going by GPS, you'll turn off of Green St on to Retting Pl, and it's an immediate right into the large lot.

Still have questions?

Feel free to arrive early or reach out (hello [at] heartroseclub [dot] com). We're happy to help you feel at ease before your first class!
